I started out with basic colouring pencils from Poundland, however I quickly realised that they didn’t allow for the layers or detail I was after.
My mum bought me a semi-professional set off Amazon, the colour range was vast and a big step up from the basic pencils I had.
Since then I have started using birthday money to invest in Polychromos by Faber-Castell these have vast amounts of pigment, they are also oil based as opposed to being wax based like my other pencils. They are great for layering which hopefully you’ll see from my portfolio
